Expert translation, transcreation and event interpreting across all European languages and more. Connecting your business with native-level linguists for seamless global communication.

We’re here to help you spread your word!

Meet the team behind Word of Mouth, your interpreters and translators in London – and beyond. Bruno translates from English and French into Italian, while Lee translates from French and Chinese into English. Between us, that’s a fair share of some of the world’s most in-demand languages covered by native-level, professionally qualified linguists. For anything outside that range, we work with a trusted network of colleagues, most of whom we know personally, so you get the same standard of quality regardless of language.

What you can expect from us

We’re committed.

You put a lot of time and effort into crafting your document, so it’s only right we do the same. Whether it’s 10 words or 10,000, we take every job seriously to ensure complete accuracy and impeccable quality.

Our translations won’t sound like translations.

You’ll receive fluent, natural texts that sound like they were originally written in the target language and preserve your message perfectly.

You can trust us.

We pride ourselves on our reliability and transparency, so you can rest assured that we will always deliver on time, take your confidentiality very seriously, offer fair and transparent pricing structures, and be honest with you if there happen to be any bumps along the way.

Communication is key.

We take a detailed brief up front, ask questions when anything’s unclear and keep you updated throughout larger projects.

The human touch.

Every translation and interpreting assignment is handled by a qualified linguist, not a machine. If a client specifically requests AI options (for tighter budgets, for example) we’re happy to discuss it, but we’ll always be upfront about how that choice affects quality.

What our clients say

Frequently asked questions

What languages do you translate?

English, Italian, French and Chinese as standard, with additional languages available through our trusted network of interpreters and translators.

How do you ensure translation quality and accuracy?

Every translator works only within their area of expertise. They know the specific terminology and subtleties of the field, so the translation is accurate and appropriate every time.

Do you offer certified translations?

Yes. As qualified members of the Institute of Translation and Interpreting (ITI), we can provide certificates confirming the quality and accuracy of our translations, so they’re accepted by embassies, government bodies and other official institutions.

How is interpreting pricing calculated?

Cost depends on factors such as the event’s duration, complexity, format and languages involved. You can take a look at our detailed guide here. Get in touch with your event details and we’ll send a precise, competitive quote in line with market rates.

What's the difference between translation and transcreation?

Translation converts written text from one language to another. Transcreation goes further, reshaping the message to suit the target language’s cultural nuances and emotional impact, which is especially important for marketing and advertising content.

How quickly can you turn around a project?

Turnaround depends on the complexity and length of the document. We confirm a deadline at quote stage and are committed to meeting it without cutting corners.

Do you use machine translation or AI?

Not as standard. Tools like ChatGPT and Copilot can be fine for casual use, but they often fall short on quality and cultural nuance, and their errors aren’t always obvious to someone who doesn’t speak the target language. If a client specifically requests it, we’re happy to discuss it, along with how it affects pricing and quality.

Do you sign NDAs / how do you handle confidentiality?

Yes. We handle sensitive assignments with full professionalism and strict confidentiality, and take the security of client information seriously at every stage.
